- Surface Preparation
- Clean area to be repaired and dry completely
- Clean surface from wax, grease, and other oil based surface contaminates
- Use solvent and a clean, lint free-towel
- If there is rust, gently grind the scratch with sandpaper or an abrasive sponge.
- Primer
- Apply primer over bare metal or plastic
- Apply enough primer to cover the area to be primed
- Wait 30 minutes before sanding wet sandpaper or applying color
- Paint Application
- Shake the can well until the balls moves freely (i.e. it rattles)
- Paint should be tested on a surface before using on your vehicle
- Apply as many coats as necessary to cover the area waiting at least 5 minutes between each application
- Use a dabbing motion to apply the paint to avoid streaks
- Clearcoat Application
- Wait at least 1 hour after the paint application to use the clear coat
- Apply 2-3 coats of clearcoat
- Wait 10-20 minutes between each coat
- Be gentle with the tip to avoid scratching the basecoat
- Regrind
- After approx. 24 hours the surface can be grinded with fine sandpaper or an abrasive paste
- Polish
- Use a soft cloth with a polishing agent
